About Highland Glass
1981 – Mark Hinton commenced business as a Glazier and Windscreen fitter in December.
1990 – The business was originally known as Bowral Windscreen and Glazing Service and traded from Kirkham Road Bowral site. We became a company and our trading name became Highland Glass.
1991 – Highland Glass opened a branch in Goulburn.
1998 – We moved into a purpose built property in Willow Road Bowral.
2003 – We purchased numerous processing machines and a Tornati Forni Furnace and reached certification of quality assurance for our toughened glass product.
2005 – We extended our Bowral building again for an undercover truck loading bay.
2005 – Our Goulburn shop was moved to a new commercial warehouse factory to allow room for stores of bulk glass and a retail outlet.
2008 – We extended the bulk store again in Goulburn to accommodate for the increased demand for bulk and specialty glass.
2008 – Mark’s son, Michael founded Efficient IGU Pty Ltd and began producing high performance Insulated Glass Units and Painted Splashbacks.
2013 – Highland Glass & Efficient IGU Pty Ltd moved to a larger purpose built premises in Moss Vale with over 6000sqm under roof, a second furnace was purchased capable of producing larger toughened panels.
2016 – Our more recent addition was the installation of an autoclave capable of producing custom laminate. With our quality toughening furnaces, state of the art processing equipment such as CNC machines, water jet cutting, polishing, bevelling and automatic cutting tables, we supply many customers with quality products to their requirements. Highland Glass has the capacity to stock bulk glass, supplying customers with blocks, end caps or loose sheets.
